The Vintage Art Market came to life after a few significant moments in life. My husband and I have been very fortunate to spend some time in Europe while both studying for our Master's degrees in London. It was during the weekend trips to Tuscany and the South of France that I fell in love with the vintage art available art the various weekend antique markets. The first pieces I bought were a pair of botanical prints from an Italian seller on Via dei Priori in Umbria, Italy. He spoke little English and I, little Italian, but we conversed about why we were in Italy and about school in London. I think of him every time I look at the beautiful prints hanging in my dining room.
The other significant event was a significant family health situation that brought us unexpectedly back to the United States and, for me, meant I was unexpectedly without income. After two decisions that put family against income I made a promise to myself that I would find a way to prevent a decision like that from impacting me in the future.
My husband and I have since relocated back to the United States and work full time in our respective industries. The Vintage Art Market is my passion project and my safety net but most importantly it allows me to share my love of the art inspired by European antique markets with each of you so that when you look at your prints you too feel a connection to another place and time.
